Grouping Clothes
The best way is to create three groups with the following titles: KEEP – DON'T KEEP – MAYBE. Then, take out the entire contents of your wardrobe and place everything in the appropriate category.
It will be enough to keep a few basic pieces, as your wardrobe will be complete and versatile with these. However, one thing must not be forgotten: don't throw anything away! Every piece of clothing that has become unnecessary for us can be a real treasure for others, so we can donate them to a charity or give them to friends who might need them. Careful Consideration
Before placing any piece of clothing in any group, we need to carefully consider four things:
- When was the last time I wore it?
- Is it in good condition or already worn out, stretched?
- Where can I wear it, what can I pair it with?
- Do I really need it?
- Does it bring back good or bad memories?
Answering these questions will make it much easier to sort and significantly reduce the amount of clothes in the wardrobe. Of course, we don't have to part with every piece that evokes a wonderful memory. However, it is advisable to get rid of clothes that bring back negative memories as soon as possible, as this will also make the bad feelings disappear.
By Colors
It is practical and aesthetically pleasing to organize our clothes by colors. Thanks to so-called color coordination, it will be much easier to find the desired piece, and the result will be truly eye-catching.
Of course, this method does not work for everyone, so we can also follow the category-based arrangement, for example, the order of T-shirts, blouses, sweaters, cardigans – this way we can easily grab the piece we need from the wardrobe.
The Perfect Hangers
When assembling and organizing our wardrobe, we need to consider many aspects – the two most important being functionality and aesthetics. Since we have already talked about colors, in this case, it is more practical to replace our rainbow-colored hanger collection with uniform wire or exclusively high-quality wooden hangers. In the case of wooden hangers, good quality is important because, in its absence, any protruding splinters can easily damage our favorite clothes. The good news is that if we order online, we can catch very good deals, as products can be obtained cheaper in many places when buying in larger quantities.
Of course, it is also important to pay attention to clothes stored on shelves rather than hung up: fold these clothes neatly with as few folds as possible and place them accordingly, also organizing them as needed. If we don't want to see wrinkled clothes and clutter in the closet, we shouldn't try to cram everything onto the shelves or hangers. For example, if there isn't enough space for shoes in the wardrobe, create a drawer section for them at the bottom of the bed, or use a storage system that can be hung on the inside of the door, or a pull-out shoe storage that fits into the wardrobe drawer.
